3 Rejoice to-day with one accord,
Sing out with exultation;

220

Rejoice and praise our mighty Lord,
Whose Arm hath brought salvation;
His works of love proclaim

The greatness of His Name;
For He is God alone

Who hath His mercy shown;
Let all His saints adore Him!

PSALM cl.

1 Praise God, Who in the holiest dwells; Paise Him, Whose pow'r in heav'n excels;

Praise Him, Whose might all might outvies; Praise Him, Whose greatness passeth bound; Praise Him with trumpets' thrilling sound,

Praise Him with harps and psalteries.
2 Praise Him with timbrels' measured beat,
Praise Him with pipes where dancers meet;
Praise Him with lutes' resounding chord:
Praise to the well-tuned cymbals sing,
Praise let your loudest cymbals ring,

Praise, all that breathe, O praise the Lord.

221

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above.

JAMES i. 17.

1 Father, to Thee my soul I lift,
On Thee my hope depends,
Convinced that every perfect gift
From Thee alone descends.

2 Mercy and grace are Thine alone,
And power and wisdom too;
Without the Spirit of Thy Son,
We nothing good can do.

3 We cannot speak one gracious word,
One holy thought conceive,
Unless, in answer to our Lord,
Thyself the blessing give.

4 Thou all our works in us hast wrought; Our good is all divine;

The praise of every virtuous thought
And righteous word is Thine.

5 From Thee, through Jesus, we receive The power on Thee to call ;

In Thee, our God, we move and live:
Thou art our All in All.

222

Grace be with you all. Amen. Tır. iii. 14.

1 May the grace of Christ our Saviour,
And the Father's boundless love,
With the Holy Spirit's favour,
Rest upon us from above!

2 Thus may we abide in union

With each other and the Lord;
And possess in sweet communion,
Joys which earth cannot afford.

DOXOLOGIES.

L.M.

Praise God, from whom all blessings flow;
Praise Him, all creatures here below;

Praise Him above, ye heavenly host;

Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

L.M.

To Father, Son, and Holy Ghost,

3

The God whom heav'n and earth adore, Be glory; as it was of old,

Is now, and shall be evermore.

To Father, Son, and Holy Ghost,

The God whom we adore,

C.M.

Be glory; as it was, is now,

And shall be evermore.

4

All praise to God, the Three in One,

In highest worlds be paid;

His glory by our lips proclaim'd,

And by our lives display'd.

5

To God the Father, Son,

And Spirit, glory be;

As 'twas, and is, and shall be so

To all eternity.

All glory, Lord, to Thee,

Whom heav'n and earth adore,

To Father, Son, and Holy Ghost,
One God for evermore.

Jesu! Eternal Son,

To Thee all glory be,

With Father, Spirit, Three in One,
Through all eternity.

To Father, Son, and Holy Ghost,

S.M.

The God whom heav'n's triumphant host
And suff'ring saints on earth adore,

Be glory; as in ages past,

When time itself must be no more.

As now it is, and so shall last,

Immortal honour, endless fame,
Attend th' Almighty Father's Name,
Let God the Son be glorified,
Who for our redemption died;
And equal adoration be,

O Blessed Comforter, to Thee,

8, 7.

Worship, honour, glory, blessing,
Lord, we offer to Thy Name;
Young and old their thanks expressing,
Join Thy goodness to proclaim :
As the hosts of heaven adore Thee,
We too bow before Thy throne;
As the angels serve before Thee,
So on earth Thy will be done.
