unto thee? and wherein have I wearied thee? 4 testify against me. For I brought thee up out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed thee out of the house of bondage; and I sent before 5 thee Moses, Aaron, and Miriam. O my people, remember now what Balak king of Moab consulted, and what Balaam the son of Beor answered him; remember from Shittim unto Gilgal, that ye may know the righteous acts 6 of the LORD. Wherewith shall I come before the LORD, and bow myself before the high God? shall I come before him with burnt 7 offerings, with calves of a year old? Will the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams, or with ten thousands of rivers of oil? shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of 8 my body for the sin of my soul? He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

The LORD is a jealous God and avengeth; 2 the LORD avengeth and is full of wrath; the LORD taketh vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth wrath for his enemies. The LORD 3 is slow to anger, and great in power, and will by no means clear the guilty: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet. He rebuketh + the sea, and maketh it dry, and drieth up the rivers: Bashan languisheth, and Carmel, and the flower of Lebanon languisheth. The 5 mountains quake at him, and the hills melt; and the the earth is upheaved at his presence, yea, world, and all that dwell therein. Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are broken asunder by him. The LORD is good, a strong hold in 7 the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that put their trust in him. But with an overrunning 8 flood he will make a full end of the place thereof, and will pursue his enemies into darkness. What do ye imagine against the LORD? he 9 will make a full end: affliction shall not rise up
