I want-Oh, I want to be there,

Where sorrow and sin bid adieuYour joy and your friendship to share→→ To wonder, and worship with you!

[blocks in formation]

1 HIGH in youder realms of light,
Dwell the raptur'd saints above,
Far beyond our feeble sight,
Happy in Immanuel's love!
Pilgrims in this vale of tears,

Once they knew, like us below,
Gloomy doubts, distressing fears,
Tort'ring pain and heavy wo.

2 Oft the big, unbidden tear,

Stealing down the furrow'd cheek, Told, in eloquence sincere,

Tales of wo they could not speak.
But, these days of weeping o'er,
Past this scene of toil and pain,
They shall feel distress no more,
Never-never weep again!

3 'Mid the chorus of the skies,
'Mid th' angelic lyres above,
Hark-their songs melodious rise,
Songs of praise to Jesus' love!

Happy Spirits! ye are fled,
Where no grief can entrance find,
Lull'd to rest the aching head,
Scoth'd the anguish of the mind!
4 All is tranquil and serene,

Calm and undisturb'd repose-
There no cloud can intervene-
There no angry tempest blows:
Ev'ry tear is wip'd away,

Sighs no more shall heave the breast; Night is lost in endless daySorrow-in eternal rest!

L. M.

To God the Father, God the Son,
And God the Spirit, Three in One,
Be honor, praise, and glory giv'n,
By all on earth, and all in heav'n.

C. M.

LET God the Father, and the Son,
And Spirit be ador'd,

Where there are works to make him known,
Or saints to love the Lord.

S. M.

YE angels, round the throne, And saints that dwell below, Worship the Father, praise the Son And bless the Spirit too.

H. M.

To God the Father's throne
Perpetual honors raise,
Glory to God the Son;
To God the Spirit praise
With all our powers,
Eternal King,

Thy name we sing,
While faith adores.

7s.

SING we to our God above,
Praise eternal as his love:
Praise him, all ye heavenly host,
Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

8, 7.

MAY the grace of Christ our Saviour,
And the Father's boundless love,
With the Holy Spirit's favor,
Rest upon us from above!
Thus may we abide in union
With each other and the Lord;
And possess in sweet communion,
Joys which earth cannot afford.
