false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel, for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing, it his ministers also be transformed as the ininisters of righteousness, whose end shall be according to their works". I therefore the prisoner of the Lord beseech you, that we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; but speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ'. down the divine displeasure. Ephrain compasseth me about with lies, and the house of Israel with deceit'. ment, righteousness lodged in it; but now murderers. Thy princes are rebellious, and companions of thieves; every one loveth gifts, and followeth after rewards; they judge not the fatherless, neither doth the cause of the widow come unto them". Your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness ; none calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth; they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischiet, and bring forth iniquity'. The way of peace they know not, and there is no judgment in their goings; they have made them crooked paths; whosoever goeth therein, shall not know peacek. abominable? Shall I count them pure with the wicked balances, and with the bag of deceitful weights ? for the rich men thereof are full of violence, and the inhabitants thereof have spoken lies, and their tongue is deceitful in their mouth'. They are waxen fat, they shine; yea they overpass the deeds of the wicked; they judge not the cause, the cause of the fatherless, and the right of the needy do they not judge'. Solemn calls to the exercise of righteousness
and equity. He hath showed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God“? Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, saying, Execute true judginent, and show mercies and compassions every man to his brother, and oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart'. Execute judge ment and justice, take away your exactions from my people, saith the Lord God.
Ye shall have just balances, a just ephah, and a just bath“. Seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow". Take counsel, execute judgment, hide the outcasts, bewray not him that wanderetho. Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in
