King Pray, because, 1. Thou haft need. 2. God commands thee. 4. Pray in faith of God's promise. 6. Ask worldly and temporal things conditionally. 9. Afk things pertaining to thy falvation, remiffion of fin and everlafting life, without condition. For these hath God certainly promised to all them that with a true, faithful, and obedient heart, doth come unto him in earnest and continual prayer. Prayer to be ufed at Sea. 2 Theff. v. 17. I. Prayers, both public and private, to "the Forms of great God that hath made and ruleth all things:" for we are told to "pray without ceafing;" "that men ought always Luke xviii. to pray;" and it is faid of the "Holy Church Univerfal," "This is the way, walk ye in it." It is moreover ftated in Scripture, that there is no other way to falvation but in the Church,* called therein * Chrift never appointed two ways to Heaven, nor did He build a Church to fave fome, and make Ifa.
