52.

Here shall soft charity repair,
And break the bonds of grief;
Down the harrowed couch of care
Man to man must bring relief.

PSALM Xxvii. 9; xxxii. 5.

Hide not thou thy face from us, O Lord, and cast not off thy servants in thy displeasure: for we confess our sins unto thee, and hide not our unrighteousness. For thy mercies' sake, deliver us

from all our sins.

53.

REVELATION iv. 8.

Holy, holy, holy is God the Lord, the Almighty he that is, and he that was, and is to come.

One;

MATTHEW xxi. 9.

Blessed is he

that cometh in the name of the Lord.

in the highest !

55.

ISAIAH lii. 7.

How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace, that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth.

56.

PSALM CXxxix. 17, 23, 24.

How dear are thy counsels unto me, O God, O how great is the sum of them!

Try me, O God, and seek the ground of my heart; prove me, and examine my thoughts. Look well if there be any way of wickedness in me; and lead me in the way everlasting.

57.

How lovely are the

messengers that preach us

the gospel of peace! To all the nations is gone forth the sound of their word.

58.

PSALM lxxxiv.

How lovely are thy dwellings fair,

O Lord of hosts, how dear

The pleasant tabernacles are,
Where thou dost dwell so near!

My soul doth long and almost die,
Thy courts, O Lord, to see:
My heart and flesh aloud do cry,
O living God, for thee.

There, ev'n the sparrow, freed from wrong,
Hath found a house of rest;

The swallow there, to lay her young,

Hath built her brooding nest.

Ev'n by thy altars, Lord of hosts,
They find their safe abode;

59.

And home they fly from round the coasts,
Toward thee, my King, my God!

PSALM CXix. 92, 94.

I am thine, O save me, for I have sought thy commandments. If my delight had not been in thy law, I should have perished in my trouble.

60.

JOHN xiv. 15-17.

If ye love me, keep my commandments: and I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever, even the Spirit of truth.

61.

PSALM xvi. 8-11.

1. I have set God always before me; for he is on my right hand, therefore I shall not fall.

2. Wherefore my heart was glad, and my glory rejoiced; my flesh also shall rest in hope. For why? Thou shalt not leave my soul in the grave ; neither shalt thou suffer thy Holy One to see corruption.

3. Thou shalt shew me the path of life. In thy presence is fulness of joy; and at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

62.

REVELATION xiv. 13.

I heard a voice from heaven saying, Write: Blessed are the dead that die in the Lord; even

C

so saith the Spirit, for they rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.

63.

PSALM Xxxi. 2.

Incline thine ear to me, O Lord, make haste to deliver me. O save me for thy mercies' sake.

64.

PSALM xcii. L, 2.

It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O Most Highest ; to tell of thy loving-kindness early in the morning, and of thy truth in the night-season.

65.

PSALM xl. 1, 4.

I waited for the Lord, and he inclined unto me, he heard my complaint. O blessed are they that hope and trust in him.

66.

PSALM Xxxiv. 1-6.

1. I will alway give thanks unto the Lord; his praise shall ever be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof and be glad. O praise the Lord with me, and let us magnify his name together.

2. I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me out of all my fears. They had an eye unto him and were lightened, and their faces were not ashamed. Lo, the poor crieth, and the Lord

heareth him; yea, and saveth him out of all his troubles.

67.

Amen.

LUKE XV. 18, 19.

I will arise and go to my Father, and will say, Father, I have sinned against heaven and before thee, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.

68.

PSALM 1xxvii. 1, 3, 5, 6, 11, 12.

I will cry unto God with my voice; even unto God will I cry with my voice, and he shall hearken

unto me.

When I am in heaviness I will think upon God; when my heart is vexed I will complain. I have considered the days of old, and the years that are past. I commune with my own heart, and search out my spirit.

I will remember the works of the Lord, and call to mind thy wonders of old time. I will also think of all thy works, I will remember the works of the Lord, and my talking shall be of thy doings.

69.

PSALM ix. 1, 2; REV. v. 13.

I will give thanks with my whole heart; I will speak of thy marvellous works. I will be glad and rejoice in thee; yea, my songs will I make in thy name, O thou Most Highest.

Blessing and honour, glory and power and might be unto God for ever. Hallelujah.

Amen.
