Caracas, the Andes, the Llanos, Angel Falls, Margarita and the Caribbean Islands. Venezuela produces more beauty queens than any other country, and half its population are under the age of 20. It also has one of the worst road accident records in the world. There's no evidence that these pieces of information are in any way related, but they do help to explain why everyone in Venezuela seems hell bent on having a good time - all the time. The attitude of most people here seems to be `life is short, so all the more reason to enjoy it'. And enjoy it they do. Whether it's wiggling their hips to the ubiquitous beats of salsa, or watching their beloved baseball, or doing what Venezuelans do best - admiring each other.
