BE IT REMEMBERED, that on the twentieth day of September, in
IL.S the fifty-fifth year of the independence of the United States of Ame-

mit rica, A.'D. 1830, Clara F. Ashmead, of the said District, has deposited in
this office the vitle of a Book, the right whereof she claims as proprietor, in the
words following, to wit:

In conformity to the act of the Congress of the United States, intituled, “an for the encouragement of learning, by securing the copies of maps charts, and books, to the authors and proprietors ni' such copies, during the times therein men tioned"-and also to the act, entitled, an act supplementary to an acı, entitled,

an act for the encouragement of learning, by securing the copies of maps. charts,
and books to the authors and proprietor's of such copies during the times therein
mentioned,' and extending the benefits thereof to the arts of designing, engraving,
and etching historical and other prints."
