brought to perfection, and they will fee, that in wifdom he has made them all, Pfal. cxlv. 24.

2. 49. What views will they have of adorable providence?

A. They will fee the checkered web of providence fpread out at its full length; and that there was a need for all the trials and troubles they met with in time, 1 Pet. i. 6.

Q. How will the faints in heaven contemplate the glorious work of redemption?

A. It will be the matter of their eternal admiration they fhall for ever wonder and praise, and praise and wonder, at the myfteries of wifdom and love, goodnefs and holinefs, mercy and juftice, that fhine through the whole of that glorious device, Rev. i 5, 6.

Q5. What is the experimental knowledge whereby the faints fhall enjoy God in heaven?

A. It is the participation of the divine goodness in full meafure, accompanied with a moft lively fenfation thereof in the innermoft part of their fouls, Rev. vii, 7, The Lamb hall lead them to living fountains of water; which are no other but God himfelf, the fountain of living waters, who will fully and freely communicate himself to them,

Q. 52 In what refpect will the communication of God, to the experience of the faints in heaven be full ?

A. In as much as they fhall not be ftinted to any mea fure, but the enjoyment fhall go as far as their most eng larged capacities can reach, Pfal lxxxi, 10

Q.53 Will the capacities of the faints above be of equal fize?

A. As there will be different degrees of glory, (the faints in heaven being compared to ftars, which are of different magnitudes Dan. xii 3.); fo, fome capacities will contain more, and others lefs, yet all fhall be filled, and have what they can hold, Pfal. xvi. 11.

Q. 54. Wherein will confift the freedom of God's com municating himself to the experience of the faints in heaven?

A. In the unrefrained familiarity which he will there allow them with himself; he shall walk in them, 2 Cor. vi.. 15; his fulness fhall ever ftand open to them, there being no veil betwixt him and them to be drawo afide, for they fhall fee him face to face. 1 Cor. xiji. 12.

Q5. What will be the refult of the free communication, and full participation of the divine goodness in the upper fanctuary?

A. Perfect likeness to God, and unspeakable joy: hence fays the Pfalmift, 1 fhall be fatisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness. In thy prefence is fulness of joy, Pfal. xvii, 15. and xvi. 1.

256. Why will perfect likeness to God follow upon the beatific vifion of him?

A. Because the feeing of God, in all his matchless excellences, no more through a glafs darkly, but face to face, cannot but be attended with a fwallowing up of all the imperfections of the faints, into a glorious transformation to his bleed image, 1-John iii. We fhall be like him, for we fhall fee him as he is.

2.

2.57. Why is the communication, and participation of God in heaven, accompanied with unspeakable jej?

A. Because of the undoubted certainty, and full affurance which the faints have of the eternal duration of the fame: the enjoyment of God being always fresh and ner to them, through the ages of eternity; for they fhall drink of living fountains of waters, continually fpringing up in abundance, Rev. vii. 17.

2. 58. Why will the faints in heaven have an undoubted certainty of their full enjoying of God to all eternity?

A Because the everlasting GUD himself will be their eternal life and happiness, 1 John v, 20.-This is the trus God and eternal life, Ifa. Ix. 19. The Lord shall be unte thee an everlafling light, and thy God thy glory Hence it is faid of heaven, that the glory of God deth lighten it; and that the Lamb is the light thereof, Rev. xxi 23.

Q. 59. What improvement ought we to make of these benefits which believers receive from Chrift at the refurrection?

A. We fhould be diligent, that we may be found of him in peace, without spot and blameless, 2 Pet. iii. 14; and occupy the talents he hath given us, until he come, Luke xix. 13; we fhould judge ourfelves, that we may not be judged, 1 Cor. xi 31.; and because the end of all things is at hand, we fhould therefore be fober, and watch unto prayer, 2 Pet, iv. 17. yea, we fhould hope to the end, for the grace that is to be brought unto us at the revelation of Jefus Chrift, chap. i. 13
