X. THE LAW OF LOVE. THINK not that I am come to destroy the Law or the Prophets I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. For verily I say unto you: Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the Law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever, therefore, shall break one of the least of these commandments, and shall teach men so, shall be called the least in the kingdom of the heavens but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of the heavens. A For ever, O LORD, Thy word is established in the heavens: Thou hast established the earth, and it standeth | firm. ND JESUS said: The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel, the LORD our God is ONE LORD: And thou shalt love the LORD thy GOD with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength. With my whole heart have I | sought | Thee: That I might not | sin against | Thee. AND the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets. Blessed are the perfect in the way, LORD. testimonies: heart. A NEW Commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another. As I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this will all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. Search me, O GOD, and | know my heart: Try me, and know | my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked | way in me : THEREFORE all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the Law and the Prophets. Grace and truth came by | JESUS CHRIST. And grace for | grace: A men. XI. PSALM OF THANKSGIVING. PSALM CVII. GIVE thanks unto the LORD, for He is good; for his mercy endureth forever. Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom He hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy; and gathered them out of the lands, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the south. They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in. Hungry and thirsty their soul fainted in them. Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and He delivered them out of their distresses. And He led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation. 2! O that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, And filleth the hungry soul with | goodness. SUCH as sit in darkness and the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron: because they rebelled against the words of GOD, and contemned the counsel of the Most High: therefore He brought down their heart with labor; they fell down, and there was none to help. Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and He saved them out of their distresses. He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder. O that men would praise the | LORD for his goodness, And cut the bars of iron in | sunder. FOOLS because of their transgression and because of their iniquities are afflicted. Their soul abhorreth all manner of meat; and they draw near unto the gates of death. Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and He saveth them out of their distresses. He sent his word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. O that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, THEY that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters; these see the works of the LORD, and his wonders in the deep. For He commandeth and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof. They mount up to heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble. They reel and stagger like a drunken man, and all their wisdom is brought to naught. Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and He bringeth them out of their distresses. He maketh the storm a calm, and the waves thereof are still. Then are they glad because they are quiet; and He bringeth them unto the haven of their desire. O that men would praise the | LORD for his goodness, XII. THE HOLY SUPPER. N this mountain shall the LORD of Hosts make unto all IN people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined. And He will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations. He will swallow up death in victory; and the LORD GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall He take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it. 2/2/22/22/2 And it shall be said in that day, Lo, | this · is our | GOD; This is the LORD; we have | waited | for Him ; BEHOLD, I stand at the door, and knock; if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me. I will go unto the altar of | GOD: Unto GOD the gladness of my | joy. If thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath aught against thee, leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift. |
