KINDLE in our hearts, O Divine Master and Lover of men, the pure light of thy Divine knowledge, and open the eyes of our minds to the understanding of thy Gospel. TA Prayer for Spiritual Gifts.

O LORD JESUS CHRIST, the Life and Light of all worlds, at the sending forth of whose Spirit the whole creation lives and moves: Give unto us the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord, that thy law may be written in our hearts, and that in Zion and in Jerusalem may be deliverance for all who call upon thy Name; for thy mercy's sake. Amen.

For the Grace of Repentance.

HOLY and merciful LORD, who lovest all men and dost forgive the sins of all who are penitent: Give us humble and contrite hearts, that, acknowledging and repenting of our evils, we may, by thy Grace, put them away as sins against Thee, and so obtain remission and forgiveness, through thy mercy, O JESUS CHRIST our LORD. Amen.

¶ For the Faithful Following of the Lord.

JESUS, our LORD and Master, who goest before us in the way of regeneration, and hast said: "He that taketh not up his cross and followeth after Me is not worthy of Me," grant us strength to follow Thee faithfully here, that so we may be worthy to enter thy heaven hereafter; for thy mercy's sake. Amen.

Prayer in Schools.

O LORD JESUS CHRIST, who art the Fountain of wisdom and who givest freely to all who ask of Thee: pour into our minds the light of thy truth, and let thy Holy Spirit lead us into all heavenly knowledge, for thy mercy's sake. Amen.
