The best method to find the Content of a long narrow piece of Land, of an irregular width, lying either in a straight direction, or a curving one, is by measuring a line along the middle of it, and measuring the width in different places, let these widths be treated as Offsets, and multiplied into the Chain-Line, &c. as before directed. |
