The Commissioner of Internal Revenue, in his report dated November 24, 1879, states that of spirits there were withdrawn for exportation during the year ending June 30, 1878, 5,499,252 taxable gallons, and during the year ending June 30, 1879, 14,837,581 taxable gallons.

Tenth. The destinations of exportations of domestic alcohols, wines, and other alcoholic liquors for the year ending June 30, 1878, are stated in the table annexed hereto, marked C.

Eleventh. This department is not in possession of statistics showing definitely the alcoholic strength and other characteristics" of such exportations. Your attention, however, is invited to the statements upon the subject in the inclosed reports and tables.
