Ir is the saying of a grave divine, that in the school of Satan, the first A B C of atheism is this, “ All these will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me;" but in the school of Jesus, the first A B C of religion is this, “If any man will be my disciple, let bim deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.” Opposition is evangelii genius, the Church hath the cross for its inheritance.
