12 - Blessed is the man that endureth temptation : for when he is tried, 13 he shall receive the
crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I ain tempted of God : for God cannot be tempted with evil,"4 neither tempteth he any man :
14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin : and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth w death.

CHAP. II. 1 It is not agreeable to Christian profession to regard the rich, and
to despise the poor brethren : 13 rather we are to be loving and merciful : 14 and not to boast of faith where no deeds are, 17 which is but a dead faith, 19 the faith of devils, 21 not of Abrahani, 25 and Rahab.
MY brethren, have not the faith of our a Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with
respect of persons.

judgment of the stranger, nor of the fatherless; nor take a widow's raiment to pledge. do. xxvii. 19: Cursed be he that perverteth the judgment of the stranger, fatherless, and widow. Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thay house ? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh ? Zec. vii. 10 : Oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor. Mat. xxv. 36: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
Rom. xii. 2 : And be not conforined to this world : but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. JAMES, iv. 4: Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
