to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the Church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

Ver. 14. Rom. v. 2 ; By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. CHAP. IV. The rest of Christians is altained by faith : 12 the power of God's word : 14 by our High Priest Jesus the Son of God, subject to in. firmities, but not sin, 16 we must and may go boldly to the throne of grace.

LET A us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.

2 For unto us was the Gospel preached, as ?displeased. Co. Ma. Cr. Bi. Gen. 8 them that obeyed not. Gen. unto us have the good tidings been declared. We. 34, 36, 38 : And the Lord heard the voice of your words, and was wroth, and sware, saying, Save Caleb the son of Jephunneh; he shall see it, and to him will I give the land that he hath trodden upon, and to his children, because he hath wholly followed the Lord. 5 And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.

6 Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached 4 entered not in because of unbelief :5

7 (Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.
