Till then-nor is my boasting vain-
Till then I boast a Saviour slain!
And O may this my glory be,
That Christ is not asham'd of me.

HYMN 81. L. M.

LMIGHTY Father, bless the word Which through thy grace we now have O may the precious seed take root, Spring up, and bear abundant fruit.

[heard

We praise thee for the means of grace,
Thus in thy courts to seek thy face;
Grant, Lord! that we who worship here,
May all, at length, in heaven appear.

HYMN 82. P. M.

ORD! dismiss us with thy blessing,
Fill our hearts with joy and peace;
Let us each, thy love possessing,
Triumph in redeeming grace.
O refresh us,

Travelling through this wilderness.
Thanks we give and adoration,
For the GOSPEL's joyful sound;
May the fruits of thy salvation
In our hearts and lives abound.
May thy presence

With us evermore be found.!

TOT all the blood of beasts
Jould give the guilty conscience pate
On Jewish altars am
Or wash away the stain.

But Christ the heavenly Lamb,
Takes all our sins away;
sacrifice of nobler name,
And richer blood than they.
My faith would lay her hand
On that dear head of thine,
While like a penitent I stand,
And there confess my sin.
My soul looks hack to see
The burdens hou didst bear,
Then hanging on the cursed tree,
And hopes her guilt was there.

HYMN 83. P. M.

OME, ye sinners, poor and wretched,
Weak and wounded, sick and sore;

COM

Jesus ready stands to save you,

Full of pity, love and power;
He is able,

He is willing; doubt no more.

Let not conscience make you linger;
Nor of fitness fondly dream;
All the fitness he requireth
Is to feel your need of him;
This he gives you,

Tis' the Spirit's rising beam.

Lo! the incarnate God ascended,
Pleads the virtue of his blood;

Rest entirely on his merits,

Let no other trust intrude;

None but Jesus

Can do helpless sinners good.

Saints and Angels, join'd in concert,
Sing the praises of the Lamb;
While the blissful seats of heaven
Sweetly echo with his name:
Hallelujah!

Sinners here may sing the same.

HYMN 84. L. M.

FFLICTED saint, to Christ draw near; The Saviour's gracious promise hear; His faithful word declares to thee,

That" as thy day, thy strength shall be."

Thy faith is weak, thy foes are strong;
But, though the conflict may be long,
Thy Lord will make the tempter flee,
For "as thy day, thy strength shall be."
Should persecution rage and flame,
Still trust in thy Redeemer's name;
In fiery trials thou shalt see,

That as thy day, thy strength shall be."
When call'd by him to bear the cross,
Reproach, affliction, pain or loss,
Or deep distress and poverty,

Still" as thy day, thy strength shall be."
When death at length appears in view,
Christ's presence shall thy fears subdue,
He comes to set thy spirit free,

66

And as thy day, thy strength shall be."

HYMN 85. C. M.

HERE is a land of pure delight,
Where saints immortal reign;

Eternal day excludes the night,
And pleasures banish pain.
