there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves:

but he was asleep.

25 And his disciples came tohim, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us :

we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea;

&there was a great
calm.
26 And he saith
unto them, Why
are ye fearful,
O ye of
little faith ?
27 But the men

marvelled, saying,

arose a greatstorm
of wind, and the
wavesbeat intothe
ship,so that it was
now full.

38 And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow :

&they awake him,
and say unto him,
Master,

carest thoumotthat
we perish.
39 And he arose,
and rebuked the
wind, and said un-
to the sea,
Peace, be still.
&the wind ceased,
&there was a great
calm.
40 And he said
unto them, Why
are ye so fearful?
how is it that ye
have no faith ?
41 And they fear-

29 And behold, they cried out saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of

God?

art thou come hither to torment us beforethe time?

and chains,and the chains had been pluckedasunderby him, & the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him.

5 And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones. 6 But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him, 7 And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of themost high God?

I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not,

8 (For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thoutuncleanspirit) 9 And he asked him, What is thy name : And he answered, saying,

and was driven of the devil into the wilderness.

28 When he saw Jesus,

he cried out, and fell down before him,

and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus thou Son of God most high : I beseech thee

torment me not,

29For he hadcommanded the uncleanspirittocome out of the man.

30 And Jesus asked him,saying, What is thy name : And he said, Legion: be

sought him much,

send them away

11 Now there was there, nigh unto the mountains, a great herd of swine feeding.

12&all the devils
besought him,say-
ing, Send us into
the swine,that we
may enter into
them.
13 And forth-
with Jesus gave
them leave.
And the unclean
spirits went out,

and entered into
the swine :

and
the herd

ran vio

lently down asteep
place into the sea,
(they were about
two thousand)
and were chokedin
the sea.
14 And they that
fed the swine

fled,

and told it in the
city

31 Andthey be-
sought him,
that he would not
command them

to go out into the

deep.
32 And there

was there

an herd of many
swine feeding
on the mountain:

and they
besought him
that he would suf-
fer them

to enter
into them.

And he suffered

them.

33 Then went
the devils out
of the man,
and entered into
the swine:
and
the herd
ran vio-
lently downasteep
place into the lake,

and were choked.

34When they that
fed them saw what
wasdone,they fled,

and went
and told it in the
city

16 And they
that saw it, told
them how it be-
fel to him that was
possessed withthe
devil,
and also con-
cerning the swine.

17 And they

began to pray him

to depart outof their coasts.

35 Then they Went out to see what was done; and came to Jesus, & found the man, out of whom the devils were departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed and in hisrightmind:& they were afraid. 36 They also which saw it, told them by what means he that was possessed of the devils was healed.

37 | Then the whole multitudeof the country of the Gadarenes round about,
