LORD Jesus, praise to thee be given,
Creator both of earth and heaven,

And art as God and man adored.

Then lead to Jesus' blood; And to our stubborn hearts reveal

To sanctify the soul,

To pour fresh life on every part,

Thine influence withdraw,
What easy victims soon we fall

GOD holy Spirit, be for ever blest,

That thou to us Christ's death dost manifest,

And of him the fountain, whence flows salvation, Dost so distinctly give us information, And light impart.

In the Redeemer's blood;

3 Thou art the earnest of his love, The pledge of joys to come:

COME, Holy Ghost, eternal God,

Both from the Father and the Son;
Thou God of peace and love.

2 Thou art the only Comforter In all our soul's distress; Thou showest us our unbelief,

And Christ's redeeming grace. 3 Thou dost thy sanctifying gifts Unto the church impart ; Writest God's holy, precious law On each believer's heart.

4 Thy holy unction power affords
The gospel to proclaim:

By thee enabled, we set forth
Salvation in Christ's name.

5 Assist and strengthen us, O Lord, Thou know'st we all are frail; Grant, neither Satan, world, nor flesh,

May o'er Christ's flock prevail.

6 Cause all disharmony and strife
In Christendom to cease;
And give to all the flocks of Christ
Love, union, truth, and peace.
