PRAISE OF THE GREATNESS OF GOD.

Who is so great a God as our God? Psalm lxxvii. 15.

O LORD my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty (a). Heaven is thy throne, and the earth thy footstool (b). Thou coverest thyself with light as with a garment; thou stretchest out the heavens like a curtain; thou layest the beams of thy chambers in the waters; thou makest the clouds thy chariot, thou walkest upon the wings of the wind (c).
