Thither, O my soul, repair, O my Immanuel, give me to behold thee in that wonderful love and strange act of humility and condescension, which thou hast manifested to such a vile, hard-hearted sinner, as, thou knowest, I am. Turn away my thoughts from engag P ing in vain controversy, and from attempting to speculate on the incomprehensible mysteries of thy Person, Let me be as a little child, and help me to rest implicitly on thy blessed testimonies concerning thyself; nor suffer me to venture any further, in my conclusions, than thy blessed word gives me authority. 72. PROVIDENCE. And I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there.-- 1 Kings xvii. 4. 1.
