remain standing throughout the prayers and responsive
service.

THE
HE Lord is good to them that wait for him, to
the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a
man should both hope and quietly wait for the sal-
vation of the Lord.

THE hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth; for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is spirit, and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

BEHOLD, the tabernacle of God is with men;

and he shall dwell with them, and they shall

be his people; and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

THE

HE eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms.

¶ Then shall the Minister say:

LET us humbly acknowledge our sins to our

heavenly Father, and entreat his forgiveness.

TA General Confession to be said by the Minister and People.

ALMIGHTY GOD, most merciful Father, unto

whom all hearts are open, and from whom no secrets are hid: we are heartily sorry for the sins which we have at any time committed, in thought or affection, in word or deed. We pray thee to look graciously upon us, and forgive us. Help us to lay aside every weight, and the sins which so easily beset us, and to subdue our thoughts and desires to the obedience of the gospel. We offer thee now our whole being, our bodies and souls, to be thy temple forever. Take us, O Lord, entirely into thy hands, and let nothing henceforward, either in life or death, separate us from thee any more. Amen.

¶ Then shall the Minister say this prayer, the People here, and
at the end of every prayer, saying, Amen.

ALMIGHTY GOD, the Father of mercies, we

beseech thee to grant us true repentance, and thy Holy Spirit, that those things may please thee which we do at this present, and that the rest of our life hereafter may be pure and holy, so that at the last we may come to thine eternal joy. Amen.

¶ The Lord's Prayer to be said by the Minister and People.

OUR Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy

name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.

Minister. O Lord, open thou our lips.

People. And our mouth shall show forth thy praise.

Minister. Glory be to God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.

People. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.

Minister. Praise ye the Lord.

Amen.

People. The Lord's name be praised.
