Feeling also that weariness too often accompanies the act of Family Worship, we have carefully observed a more than usual brevity in these prayers. It is humbly hoped that some help may be afforded to those who wish to approach the throne of grace with a single and earnest desire to obtain a blessing. It will be observed that the prayers arranged for the Fourth Week are clothed more or less in the language of the Liturgy. May a spirit of grace and of supplication abundantly rest on all who take these words into their lips! |
