T that time; The Scribes and Pharisees came from Jerusalem to Jesus, and said to him; Why do thy disciples transgress the traditions of the elders? For they wash not their hands, when they eat bread. And he answering, said to them; Why do you transgress even the commandment of God for your tradition? For God hath said; Honor thy father and mother. And; He that curseth father or Mother, let him be put to death. But you say; Whoever shall say to Father or mother; Whatsoever I shall offer, shall profit thee; and thus shall neglect to honor his father or mother; and then you have made void the commandment of God for your tradition.
