THE REV. W. K. DAMUTH

Begs leave to report that during the past year he has been engaged in fulfilling his duties as Warden of the Community of St. John Baptist, and Vicar of the Mission Church of the Holy Cross, New York City. He has usually celebrated Holy Communion daily and preached Sunday morning and evening; from October to June he has usually said Evensong daily in the church.

Respectfully reports that during the past year he has been, as usual, deeply engaged in historical research and writing, and has officiated very frequently on Sundays in Massachusetts churches. He belongs to the Clerical Association of the Diocese of Massachusetts, and so frequently meets with the clergy. Bishop Lawrence kindly renews his license to officiate here from year to year.

Respectfully reports that during the past year he has been occupied with his duties as Editor of The Churchman, preaching and officiating at Sunday services as occasion offered.

THE REV. RANDALL C. HALL

Respectfully reports that during the past year he has assisted in the Church of St. Mary the Virgin of New York City, and has served as Chaplain of the House of the Holy Comforter, New York City. In the latter institution 4 inmates were confirmed. There have been 5 funerals. During two months in vacation he continued services in the Chapel on Money Island, Stony Creek, Conn.

THE REV. J. GOTTFRIED HAMMARSKÖLD, D.D.

Respectfully reports that during the year ending October 1, 1915, he has conducted 231 services, taken part in 27, preached 158 sermons, delivered 46 addresses, celebrated Holy Communion 29 times, baptized 21 children, solemnized 11 marriages, officiated at 16 funerals, prepared a class for confirmation, and attended to other duties connected with his office as General Missioner.

THE REV. ARTHUR P. HUNT

Respectfully reports that during the past year he has been engaged in his work as Professor of Ethics in the General Theological Seminary.

THE REV. JAMES O. S. HUNTINGTON, Superior O.H.C.

Desires to report that as Chaplain of St. Faith's House, Tarrytown, N. Y., during the past year he baptized 14 infants at St. Faith's House, presented 7 persons for Confirmation and celebrated the Holy Eucharist each week, unless absent on mission work, when his place was taken by one of his Community or by some other priest. There were burials of 5 children. Two adults belonging to the household were baptized, one at the Church of the Transfiguration, New York, and one at St. Luke's Chapel, Trinity Parish, New York, also one infant was baptized by a priest from the Church of St. Mary the Virgin. There are in the house, this first day of September, 1915, 40 persons, of whom 14 are communicants and 15 infants.

THE REV. RALPH WOOD KENYON

Reports that during the year last past he has officiated and assisted at services of the Church as opportunity has offered, and also that during the summer the privilege was afforded him of conducting a series of special services.

THE REV. JOHN H. LOGIE

Respectfully reports that he has been in charge and has conducted the services at the Church of Our Father, Hull's Cove, Me., for the past year.

THE REV. E. F. H. J. MASSÉ

Respectfully reports that during the last Convention year he has practically performed no specifically clerical duties. He had just entered upon duties at St. Chrysostom's Chapel, when sudden and serious illness, lasting over two months, interned him in St. Luke's Hospital. Mr. Massé is able to state now that he has quite recovered his health, and is now both ready and willing to resume active work.

THE REV. PERCIVAL MCINTIRE

Respectfully reports that because of serious eye trouble he has been unable to exercise his ministry during the past year.

THE REV. THOMAS MCCLINTOCK

Respectfully reports that he has had charge of congregations in this city. as locum tenens most of the year, having three services on Sundays and preaching twice each Sunday.

THE REV. BROCKHOLST MORGAN

Would respectfully report that, owing to long and severe illness, he has not been able to accomplish much he had hoped for. He has assisted in the Holy Communion very frequently, and offered his services to a weak parish in the matter of visiting the sick, and in any other way in which he could be of use. On the third of last July he celebrated his fiftieth anniversary, having been ordained July 3, 1865, in the Church of St. John Evangelist, West Eleventh Street, New York City, by Bishop Horatio Potter.

THE REV. G. L. NICHOLAS, M.D.

Reports that during the past year he has continued his duties as AssistantChaplain at St. Mary's Hospital. In addition, for the past three years, he has been especially active in carrying on the mission work for colored people at the Church of the Transfiguration-his connection with this latter parish, having been rather in the character of curate, has not been referred to in previous reports.

THE REV. ARTHUR H. PROFFITT

Begs respectfully to report that he has had the honor of officiating at five services during the past year, and also has had one baptism. Impaired health during the whole year has made further service impossible.

THE REV. BRUCE V. REDDISH

Respectfully reports that he returned from Oxford last October, having passed three terms in attendance on lectures in the University. Since his return, he has been without regular cure. He has assisted the Rev. C. M. Dunham, Rector of All Saints' Church, Orange, N. J., in his work until the first of March, taking many services and preaching every Sunday. Since the first of March, he has conducted the services at the Cathedral, Erie, Pa.

THE REV. WILFORD L. ROBBINS

Begs leave to report that during the past year he has been occupied with his duties as Dean of the General Theological Seminary, and in preaching at various schools, colleges and parish churches as opportunity offered.

THE REV. HENRY TOWNSEND SCUDDER

Rector Emeritus, Christ Church, Tarrytown

Begs leave to report for year ending November 1, 1915, that he has aided Dean Grosvenor of the Cathedral by celebrating the Holy Communion and taking other services. He has also officiated at All Saints' Church, Henry and Scammel Streets. Besides this, he has officiated every Sunday, except one, during the past year and on many week-days at various other churches. During the year, he had 5 marriages and 2 burials. He has celebrated the Holy Communion 30 times.

THE REV. BERNARD SCHULTE, S.T.D.

Respectfully reports that he continues to serve as Chaplain of St. Luke's Home for Aged Women and the Home for Old Men and Aged Couples. In addition to his duties there, he has officiated at Sherman, Conn.; Siaconset, Mass., and elsewhere; baptizing 16 children and 3 adults; married 1 couple, and attended 5 funerals.

Has the honor to report that during the year ending October 31, 1915, h has celebrated the Holy Communion 5 times; assisted at the Holy Communion { times; administered Holy Baptism once; officiated at the Burial of the Dead twice; preached 56 times (in 23 different churches).

THE REV. ANSON PHELPS STOKES

Respectfully reports as follows:

1. Church Work-I have continued to serve as an assistant (or specia preacher) at St. Paul's Church, New Haven. My duties there consist of preaching at the morning service once a month, and of assisting at the Holy Communion the first Sunday in the month. I am also able to render other occasional services to the parish. I represent the First Province, New England, on the General Board of Religious Education and have been made a member of its Executive Committee. I have preached during the year at St. Paul's School, Concord; St. George's School, Newport; Trinity Church, Lenox; and St. Paul's Church, Stockbridge, Mass. I have delivered a lecture on the Slocum Foundation at the Episcopal Church in Ann Arbor, Mich., my subject being "What Jesus Thought of Himself."

2. Other Religious Work-I have preached at many colleges and schools, including Princeton University, Vassar College, Bryn Mawr College, Williams College, The Hill School, etc. I am ex-officio a member of the Church Committee of the Church of Christ in Yale University, and have served as secretary of the Committee which supplies the University pulpit. I have also conducted daily prayers in the Chapel for about a month and have had a Bible-class for Seniors in the College.

3. Educational Work-The major part of my time has been given as usual to my various duties as Secretary of Yale University. I also have continued to serve as a member of the Trustees of the General Education Board, the American Academy in Rome, and am a member of the Executive Committee of the Yale in China movement, and am Secretary of the Board of Trustees of the Phelps Stokes Fund, whose work is mainly in connection with negro education.

4. Literary Work-I have published during the year two large volumes issued by the Yale University Press and the Oxford University Press, entitled "Memorials of Eminent Yale Men; a Biographical Study of Student Life and of Undergraduate Influences in the Eighteenth and Nineteenth Centuries." I have also published two pamphlets-"University Schools of Religion," being an address delivered before the National Religious Education Association, and "The Educational Significance of the Home," being the annual address before the Parents' League of New York City.

5. Philanthropic Work-I have continued as a member of the Board of Directors of the New Haven Hospital, the New Haven Organized Charities Association, and the New Haven Dispensary.

THE REV. J. FREDERICK TALCOTT

Respectfully reports that during the past year he has carried on mission work in this Diocese as heretofore, and has officiated as occasion offered. He has also assisted at regular intervals in the services of St. George's Church, Rumson, New Jersey, during the summer.

THE REV. WILLIAM G. THOMPSON

Respectfully reports that for the first part of the year he was engaged in the work of St. Ann's on the Heights, in Brooklyn, under the license of the Bishop of Long Island, and since May 1st, he has served the City Mission Society as Chaplain in the Harlem, City and the Metropolitan Hospitals as well as at the Workhouse on Blackwell's Island. He has also held services in churches under the Bishop's direction.

THE REV. WALTER THOMPSON, D.D.

Respectfully reports that since his last Canonical Report, he has officiated and preached 48 times, celebrated Holy Communion 17 times, solemnized 2 marriages, baptized 2 infants, and officiated at 13 funerals.

THE REV. IRWIN ST. JOHN TUCKER

Begs to report that during this past year he has worked steadily at his position as editor of The Christian Socialist. In June, his affiliation with the Church of the Redeemer, Chicago, ceased, and he has now no regular connection, but assists various clergy from time to time. He speaks Sunday afternoons at the meetings of the Christian Socialist Fellowship, and frequently at various ward branches and town locals of the Socialist party.

THE REV. WILLIAM H. VIBBERT, S.T.D.

Reports that he has regularly attended and assisted in the Sunday services at Trinity Chapel, has baptized 3 infants, solemnized 1 marriage, and officiated at 3 funerals.

THE CONSTITUTION

OF THE

PROTESTANT EPISCOPAL CHURCH

IN THE

DIOCESE OF NEW YORK

ARTICLE I.

There shall be a Convention of the Protestant Episcopal Church in this Diocese in each year. It shall be held at the Cathedral on the second Tuesday in November, unless the Bishop, with the consent of the Standing Committee, or, in case of a vacancy in the Episcopate, unless the Standing Committee shall appoint another place or time.

ARTICLE II.

The Bishop shall have power to call Special Conventions, when he may judge it conducive to the good of the Church; and shall do so when applied to for that purpose by the Standing Committee; and in case of a vacancy in the Episcopate, the Standing Committee shall have power to call a Special Convention.

ARTICLE III.

The Convention shall consist of the Bishop and the BishopCoadjutor (if there be one), and the Suffragan Bishops (if there be one or more) of the Diocese and of Clerical and Lay Members.

The Clerical Members shall be those Clergymen canonically resident within the Diocese not less than six months immediately preceding the meeting of the Convention, who shall be either Archdeacons of the Diocese, or settled in some Church in union with the Convention, or in the Cathedral, or employed as Missionaries under the direction of the Convention, or engaged within the Diocese as Professors or Instructors in any incorporated institution
