I heartily recommend this book and it predecessor, Reforming Marriage. I am entering my second marriage at age of 68, now 8 years after the death of my husband. That marriage was not a good one in many ways. I think that this book offers the heart of a good marriage - a foundation based on a shared faith in God through Jesus Christ. Doug Wilson cogently offers a description of such a marriage through sound reasoning based on scriptural passages.
My oldest friend, whom I have known since age 5, and who lives far away, says these are the best books she and her husband have come across in their long marriage. She gave these books to us as our first wedding gift.
