1 The. 5.23. The very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

2 The. 1.11. We pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power.

2 The. 2.16. Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation, and good hope through grace, 17. Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.

2 The. 3.5. The Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ. 16. Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.

Heb. 13.20. Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, 21. Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well-pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ.

1 Pet. 5.10. The God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

SPIRITUAL BLINDNESS, IGNORANCE. Ex. 5.2. Pharaoh said, Who is the Lord, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I know not the Lord, neither will I let Israel go.

Deu. 29.2. Ye have seen all that the Lord did before your eyes in the land of Egypt. 4. Yet the Lord hath not given you an heart to perceive, and eyes to see, and ears to hear, unto this day.

Deu. 32.28. They are a nation void of counsel, neither is there any understanding in them. 29. O that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider

their latter end!

Jud. 2.10. There arose another generation after them, which knew not the Lord, nor yet the works which he had done for Israel. Jud. 16.20. He wist not that the Lord was departed from him.

Job 21.14. They say unto God, Depart from us; for we desire not the knowledge of thy ways.

Job 22.13. How doth God know? can he judge through the dark cloud? 14. Thick clouds are a covering to him, that he seeth not; and he walketh in the circuit of heaven. Psa. 5.5. The foolish shall not stand in thy sight.

Psa. 95.10. It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways.

Isa. 27.11. It is a people of no understanding: therefore he that made them will not have mercy on them, and he that formed them will shew them no favour.

Isa. 29.10. The Lord hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and hath closed your eyes the prophets and your rulers, the seers hath he covered. 11. And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed: 12. And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he sayeth, I am not learned.

Isa. 40.21. Have ye not known? have ye not heard? hath it not been told you from the beginning? have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth?

Isa. 42.7. To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison-house. 18. Hear, ye deaf; and look, ye blind, that ye may see. 19. Who is blind, but my servant? or deaf, as my messenger that I sent? who is blind as he that is perfect, and blind as the Lord's servant? 20. Seeing many things, but thou observest not; opening the ears, but he heareth not.

Isa. 44.18. They have not known nor understood: for he hath shut their eyes, that they cannot see; and their hearts, that they cannot understand. 19. And none considereth in his heart, neither is there knowledge nor understanding. 20. He feedeth on ashes: a deceived heart hath turned him aside, that he cannot deliver his soul, nor say, Is there not a lie in my right hand?

Isa. 56.10. His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs.

Isa. 60.2. Darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people.

Jer. 2.8. The priest said not, Where is the Lord? and they that handle the law knew me not. Jer. 4.22. My people is foolish, they have not known me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.

Jer. 5.4. I said, Surely these are poor; they are foolish: for they know not the way of the Lord, nor the judgment of their God. 5. I will get me unto the great men, and will speak unto them; for they have known the way of the Lord, and the judgment of their God: but these have altogether broken the yoke, and burst the bonds. 21. Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not.

Jer. 8.7. The stork in the heaven knoweth her appointed times; and the turtle and the crane and the swallow observe the time of their coming; but my people know not the judgment of the Lord. 9. The wise men are ashamed, they are dismayed and taken: lo, they have rejected the word of the Lord; and what wisdom is in them?

Jer. 9.3. They proceed from evil to evil, and they know not me, saith the Lord. 6. Through deceit they refuse to know me, saith the Lord.

Jer. 16.10. They shall say unto thee, Wherefore hath the Lord pronounced all this great evil against us? or what is our iniquity? or what is our sin that we have committed against the Lord our God?

Jer. 17.9. The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

Dan. 12.10. None of the wicked shall understand.

Hos. 4.1. There is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land. 6. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me. The people that doth not understand shall fall. Hos. 5.4. They will not frame their doings to turn unto their God: and they have not known the Lord.

Hos. 7.11. Ephraim also is like a silly dove without heart.

Mic. 4.12. They know not the thoughts of the Lord, neither understand they his counsel.

Mat. 6.23. If thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness !

Mat. 13.19. When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. Mar. 4.15. Luk. 8.12.

Mat. 15.14. They be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

Mat. 16.3. Ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?

Mat. 22.29. Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. Mar. 12 24. Mat. 23.24. Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel. Mar. 6.52. They considered not the miracle of the loaves: for their heart was hardened. Luk. 11.52. Luk. 12.48. He that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. 57. Yea, and why even of yourselves judge ye not what is right?

Luk. 19.42. If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.

Luk. 23.34. Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.

Jno. 1.5. The light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. 10.

He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

Jno. 9.29. We know that God spake unto Moses; as for this fellow, we know not from whence he is. 30. Why, herein is a marvellous thing, that ye know not from whence he is, and yet he hath opened mine eyes. 39. Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see, and that they which see might be made blind. v. 30-38.

Jno. 12.38. Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?

Jno. 14.17. The Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him.

Jno. 15.21. They know not him that sent me. Jno. 16.3. These things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father,

Rom. 2.4. Despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

Rom. 8.26. We know not what we should pray for as we ought.

Rom. 11.25. Blindness in part is happencil to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

1 Cor. 1.18. The preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness. 20. Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? 21. The world by wisdom knew not God.

1 Cor. 2.8. Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 14. The natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15. Some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.

SPIRITUAL DESTITUTION. RELIGIOUS PRIVILEGES WITHDRAWN. 2 Chr. 15.3. For a long season Israel hath been without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law.

Psa. 74.8. They have burned up all the synagogues of God in the land. 9. We see not our signs: there is no more any prophet: neither is there among us any that knoweth bow long.

Pro. 29.18. Where there is no vision, the people perish.

Lam. 2.6. He hath violently taken away his tabernacle, as if it were of a garden: he hath destroyed his places of the assembly: the Lord hath caused the solemn feasts and sabbaths to be forgotten in Zion, and hath despised in the indignation of his anger the king and the priest. 7. The Lord hath cast off his altar, he hath abhorred his sanctuary, they have made a noise in the house of the Lord, as in the day of a solemn feast. 9. The law is no more; her prophets also find no vision from the Lord. Jer. 7.12.

Eze. 3.26. I will make thy tongue cleave to the roof of thy mouth, that thou shalt be dumb, and shalt not be to them a reprover: for they are a rebellious house.

Eze. 7.26. Then shall they seek a vision of

the prophet; but the law shall perish from the priest, and counsel from the ancients.

Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few: 38. Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.
