But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither [whatsoever] worketh abomination, or [maketh] a lie. Rev. xxi. 8, 27. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God! It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. Mark x. 24, 25. For without [are] dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie. Rev. xxii. 15. If I have made gold my hope, or have said to the fine gold, [Thou art] my confidence; If I rejoiced because my wealth [was] great, and because mine hand had gotten much; If I beheld the sun when it shined, or the moon walking [in] brightness, And my heart hath been secretly enticed, or my mouth hath kissed my hand: This also [were] an iniquity [to be punished by] the judge: for I should have denied the God [that] is above. Job xxxi. 24-28.

Defile

There shall come in the last day scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? 2 Peter iii. 3, 4. not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you: And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants. Lev. xviii. 24, 25. Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean [thing ;] and I will receive you. 2 Cor. vi. 17. For the time past of [our] life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lasts, excess of wine, revellings,

Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated [us] into the kingdom of his dear Son. Coloss. i. 13. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. Rom. xiii. 12. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as [do] others; but let us watch and be sober. For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. But let us who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breast-plate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. 1 Thess. v. 4-8. That ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light. 1 Pet. ii. 9.

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, [which is] your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Rom. xii. 1, 2. And this I pray that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and [in] all judgment; That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be.

For every

Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising. Isai. lx. 1-3. Now when Jesus had heard that John was cast into prison, he departed into Galilee: And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim: That it might be
