Blefs the Lord, O our fouls; and forget not all his benefits.

Minifter.

He forgiveth all our iniquities, he healeth all our difeafes; he redeemeth our life from deftruction; he crowneth us with loving kindness and tender mercies.

People.

He fatisfieth us with good things, fo that our Strength is renewed like the eagles.

Minifler.

The Lord executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppreffed. The Lord is merciful and gracious, flow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.

He will not always chide, neither will he keep his anger for ever.

People.

He hath not dealt with us after our fins, nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.

Minifier.

Minifter.

For as the heaven is high above the

earth, fo great is his mercy toward them that fear him.

People.

As far as the east is from the west, so far bath be removed our tranfgreffions from us.

Minifter.

Like as a father pitieth his children, fo the Lord pitieth them that fear him.

People.

He knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are duft.

Minifter.

As for man his days are as grafs; as a flower of the field fo he flourisheth.

People.

The wind paffeth over it and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.

Minifter

Minifter.

But the mercy of the Lord is from everlafting to everlasting, and his righteousness unto children's children; to fuch as keep his covenant, and to thofe that remember his commandments to do them.

People.

The Lord hath prepared his throne in the heavens, and his kingdom ruleth over all.

Minifter.

Blefs the Lord ye his angels that excel in ftrength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.

People.

Blefs ye the Lord, all ye his hofts, ye ministers of his that do his pleasure.

Minifter.

Blefs the Lord, all his works, in all places of his dominion.

People.

Blefs the Lord, O our fouls.

Then

Then let the First Leffon be read, taken out of the Old Teftament. The Minifter is afterwards to proceed as follows; the People standing :

us offer unto God the facrifice of thanksgiving for his great goodness unto us, and to all mankind.

The General Thanksgiving.

Minifter.

WITH gratitude and joy would we ever

acknowledge thee, O God, as our gracious creator, and conftant benefactor. We adore thy wisdom and power, as difplayed in our existence, in the formation of our bodies, and the conftitution of our minds. Thou, O God, haft called us into existence, and made us capable of an everlasting improvement in the knowledge and love of thee, the fupreme good.

Bleffed be the God of our falvation, who daily loadeth us with benefits.

Minifter.

With our whole hearts would we thank thee, O Lord, that to the gift of life, the powers of our nature, and our many temporal mercies, thou haft added the clear discovery of thy being and perfections, of the relation we fuftain to thee, of thy will concerning us, of the great principles of thy government, and of a future state of inheritance, uncorrupted, undefiled, and that fadeth not away, referved in heaven for us.

We render thee our grateful thanks for the former difpenfations of thy grace by thy fervants the prophets, but more espe
