351. Is procrastination sinful and foolish?

Job. 22. 21. Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee.

Ps. 95.7. To-day if ye will hear his voice, Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness: When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my work. 353. Will persons have any excuse at the great day for not having complied with the invitations of the gospel?

Pr. 5. 11. And thou mourn at the last, when thy flesh and thy body are consumed, And say, How have I hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof; And have not obeyed the voice of my teachers, nor inclined mine ear to them that instructed' me.

Mat. 22. 12. Friend, how camest thou in hither, not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.

Rom. 1. 20. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.

Judgment Day.

355. Will there be a day of judgment?

Ps. 50. 3. Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him. He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people. Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice, And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is judge himself.

Mat. 11. 24. It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom, in the day of judgment than for thee.

Mat. 25. 31. When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Ac. 17. 31. Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness, by that man whom he hath ordained: whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

The Judge.

Rom. 2. 16. In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ, according to my Gospel.

Rom. 14. 10. But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. 12. So then, every one of us shall give account of himself to God.

357. What is the design of the Judgment?

Ps. 50. 6. And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is Judge himself.

Jude 14. Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousand of his saints, to execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.

358. What things will be brought into judgment ?

Ec. 11. 9. Rejoice, O young man in thy youth, and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thy heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee in to judgment.

Ec. 12. 14. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

Mat. 12. 36. But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give an account thereof in the day of judgment.

Lk. 12. 2. There is nothing covered that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known. Therefore, whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness, shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets, shall be proclaimed upon the house-tops. Mat, 10. 26.
