der Sünde wollen leben, der wir abgestorben sind? 3 Wisset ihr nicht, daß alle, die wir in Jefum Christ getau fet sind, die sind in seinen Tod getauft? 4 So sind wir je mit ihm begraben durch die Taufe in den Tod, auf daß, gleichwie Christus ist auferwecketvonden Tod ten, durch die Herrlichkeit des Vaters, also sollen auch wir in einem neuen Leben wandeln. 5 So wir aber fammt ihm gepflanzet werden zu gleichem Tode, so werden wir auch der Auferstehung gleich seyn; 6 Dieweil wir wissen, daß unser alter Mensch sammt ihm gekreuziget ist, auf daß der sündliche Leib aufhöre, daß wir hinfort der Sünde nicht dic nen. 7 Denn wer gestorben ist, der ist gerechfertiget von der Sünde. 8 Sind wir aber mit Christo gestorben, so glauben wir, daß wir auch mit ihm leben werden; 9 Und wissen, daß Christus, von den Todten erweckt, hinfort nicht stirbt; der Tod wird hinfort über ihn nicht herrschen. 10 Denn das er gestorben ist, das ist er der Sünde gestorben zu Einem Male; das er aber lebet, das lebet er Gott. 11 Also auch ihr, haltet euch dafür, daß ihr der Sünde gestorben seyd, und lebet Gott in Christo Jesu, unserm Herrn. are dead to sin, live any longer therein? of us 3 Know ye not that so many as were baptized into Jesus Christ, were baptized into his death? 4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: 6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. 7 For he that is dead is freed from sin. 8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: 9 Knowing that Christ, being raised from the dead, dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. 10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. 11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. 12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. 12 So lasset nun die Sünde nicht herrschen in euerm sterblichen Leibe, ihr Gehorsam zu leisten in seinen Lüften. 13 Auch begebet nicht der Sünde 13 Neither yield ye your memeure Glieder zu Waffen der Ungerech-bers as instruments of unrighteoustigkeit; sondern begebet euch selbst Gott, als die da aus den Todten lebendig sind, und eure Glieder Gott zu Waffen der Gerechtigkeit. 14 Denn die Sünde wird nicht herrschen können über euch; sintemal ihr nicht unter dem Gesetze seyd, sondern unter der Gnade. ness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God: 14 For sin shall not have domi. nion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. 15 Wie nun? Das sey ferne! 16 Wisset ihr nicht, welchem ihr euch begebet zu Knechten in Gehorsam, deß Knechte send ihr, dem ihr gehorsam sehd; es sey der Sünde zum Tode, oder dem Gehorsam zur Gerechtigkeit ? 17 Gott seh aber gedankt, daß ihr Knechte der Sünde gewesen seyd, aber nun gehorsam geworden von Herzen dem Vorbilde der Lehre, welchem ihr ergeben seyd. 18 Denn nun ihr freh geworden seyd von der Sünde, fehd ihr Knechte geworden der Gerechtigkeit. 19 Ich muß menschlich davon reden, um der Schwachheit willen eures Fleifches. Gleichwie ihr eure Glieder be geben habt zum Dienste der Unreinig feit, und von einer Ungerechtigkeit zu der andern; also begebet nun auch eure Glieder zum Dienste der Gerech tigkeit, daß sie heilig werden. 20 Denn da ihr der Sünde Knechte waret, da waret ihr freh von der Gerechtigkeit. 15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. T 16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? 17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin; but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. 18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness. 19 I speak after the manner of men, because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity, unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness, unto holiness. 20 For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteous ness. 21 What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death. 22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. 23 For the wages of sin is death: but the gift of God is eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Da aber das Gebot kam, ward die Sünde wieder lebendig. 10 Ich aber starb; und es befand sich, daß das Gebot mir zum Tode gereichte, das mir doch zum Leben gege ben war. 11 Denn die Sünde nahm Ursach am Gebote, und betrog mich, und tödtete. mich durch dasselbige Gebot. 12 Das Gesetz ist je heilig, und das Gebot ist heilig, recht und gut. 7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet. 8 But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead. 9 For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died. 10 And the commandment which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death. 11 For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me. 12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good. 13 Ist denn, das da gut ist, mir ein 13 Was then that which is good Tod geworden? Wollen habe ich wohl, aber vollbringen das Gute finde ich nicht. 19 Denn das Gute, das ich will, das thue ich nicht; sondern das Böse, das ich nicht will, das thue ich. 20 So ich aber thue, das ich nicht will, so thue ich dasselbige nicht, son dern die Sünde, die in mir wohnet. 21 So finde ich mir nun ein Gesetz, der ich will das Gute thun, daß mir das Böse anhanget. 22 Denn ich habe Lust an Gottes Gesetze, nach dem inwendigen Men schen; 23 Ich sehe aber ein ander Gesetz in meinen Gliedern, das da widerstreitet dem Gesetze in meinem Gemüthe, und nimmt mich gefangen in der Sünde Gesetz, welches ist in meinen Gliedern. 24 Ich elender Mensch, wer wird mich erlösen von dem Leibe dieses Todes? 25 Ich danke Gott, durch Jesum Christ, unsern Herrn. So viene ich nun mit dem Gemüthe dem Gesetze Gottes, aber mit dem Fleische dem Gesetze der Sünde. Das 8 Capitel. ist nun nichts Verdammliches an 14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. 15 For that which I do, I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I. 16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. 17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. 18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good, I find not.. 19 For the good that I would, I do not; but the evil which I would not, that I do. 20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. 21 I find then a law, that when I would do good, evil is present with me. 22 For I delight in the law of God, after the inward man: 23 But I see another law in my members warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. 24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? 25 I thank God, through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then, with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin. CHAPTER VIII. denen, die in Christo Jefu flu THERE is therefore now no condemnation to them which bie nicht nach dem Fleische wandeln, are in Christ Jesus, who walk 2 Denn das Gesetz des Geistes, der da lebendig macht in Christo Jesu, hat mich fren gemacht von dem Gesetze der Sünde und des Todes. 3 Denn das dem Gesetze unmöglich war, (intemal es durch das Fleisch) geschwächet ward,) das that Gott, und fandte feinen Sohn in der Gestalt des fündlichen Fleisches, und verdammete die Sünde im Fleische durch Sünde, 4 Auf daß die Gerechtigkeit, vom Gesetze erfordert, in uns erfüllet würde, die wir nun nicht nach dem Fleische wandeln, sondern nach dem Geiste. 5 Denn die da fleischlich sind, die find fleischlich gesinnet; die aber geiftlich sind, die sind geistlich gesinnet. 6 Aber fleischlich gesinnet seyn, ist der Tod; und geistlich gestunet seyn, ist Leben und Friede. 7 Denn fleischlich gesinnet seyn, ist eine Feindschaft wider Gott, sintemal, es dem Gesetze Gottes nicht unterthan ist, denn es vermag es auch nicht. 8 Die aber fleischlich sind, mögen Gott nicht gefallen. 9 Ihr aber seyd nicht fleischlich, sondern geistlich, so anders Gottes Geist in euch wohnet. Wer aber Christi Geist nicht hat, der ist nicht sein. 10 So aber Christus in euch ist, so ist der Leib zwar todt um der Sünde willen, der Geist aber ist das Leben um der Gerechtigkeit willen. 11 So nun der Geist deß, der Jefum von den Todten auferwecket hat, in euch wohnet, so wird auch derselbige, der Christum von den Todten auferwecket hat, eure sterblichen Leiber lebendig machen, um deß willen, daß sein Geist in euch wohnet. 12 So sind wir nun, lieben Brüder, Schuldner, nicht dem Fleische, daß wir nach dem Fleische leben. 13 Denn wo ihr nach dem Fleische lebet, so werdet ihr sterben müssen; wo ihr aber durch den Geist des Fleisches Geschäfte tödtet, so werdet ihr leben. | 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus, hath made me free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh : 4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 5 For they that are after the flesh, do mind the things of the flesh: but they that are after the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace: 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now, if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. 10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of right eousness. 11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. 12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. 13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. |
