12 Then they came near, and spake before the king concerning the king's decree; Hast thou not signed a decree, that every man that shall ask apeti tion of any god or man within thirty days, save of thee, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions? 6 After this I beheld, and lo, another like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it.

7 After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast dreadful and terrrible, and strong exceedingly : and it had great iron teeth: it devoued and brake in pieces, aud stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it bad ten horns. 81 considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by 25 ¶ Then king Darius wrote unto the roots: and, behold, in this horn all people, nations, and languages, that were eyes like the eyes of man, and a dwell in all the earth; Peace be mul-mouth speaking great things. tiplied unto you. 9 T1 bebeld till the thrones were

CHAP. VIII.
