It has just been announced that an Open Competitive Examination will be held on 23rd January, 1872, under Programme I., for five places-one in the Civil Service Commission, two in the Record Office (London), and two in the Legacy Duty Office. CUSTOMS.-The age for Out-door Officers is now fixed at 19-25, and the Examination will be "Open Competitive." IRISH CONSTABULARY.-The age, except to those mentioned at p. 82, is now fixed at 21-26.
